Blue and violet pigmented encaustic create an abstract waterfall that swirls into white and lavender encaustic waves below the falls. Glimmers of the copper show through to provide points of sparkle in the water.
The copper has been specially treated by the artist for the encaustic to adhere to the copper-- a material not usually used as an encaustic substrate. This material was chosen to provide uniqueness and luminescence to the piece.
