- Margaret's Bio- Margaret Bertrand has been painting full time for nearly twenty years. Her work has been exhibited and sold in the San Francisco Bay area and in San Luis Obispo county. She has studied painting with many noted artists throughout the United States, particularly with San Francisco Bay area artists as well as San Luis Obispo county artists. - Margaret Bertrand was Chief Business Officer of International Encaustic Artists(IEA) in 2011/12 and was on its Board of Directors from 2009 to 2012. She served as Treasurer and as Advisor to the Board during that time. She is a member of the San Luis Obispo Museum of Art Painting Group (TPG), Central Coast Printmakers, and ArtsObispo as well as long time past member of Art Center - Morro Bay. - While in the San Francisco Bay Area, Margaret served on the Boards of ProArts (Oakland), ArtShip Foundation (Oakland and San Francisco), Chair of the Arts & Culture Committee of the Oakland Chamber of Commerce, and Convener of the Arts Education Task Force of the Oakland Cultural Plan as well as a trustee of the Oakland Zoo. - Margaret Bertrand was born in Niagara Falls , New York. Margaret graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois as a psychology major with a minor in art history and went on to spend thirty three years in business. - She resides in Los Osos, California on the Central Coast.
